Entrance to the cottage is via the french windows in the sitting room. This light and airy room is L-shaped with a dining area in the top corner. There is a large comfy sofa, a cuddle chair and a cosy armchair with footstool. There is a smart TV and DVD player as well as occasional tables.
The sunny kitchen was recently refitted and has a gas cooker, fridge and a small freezer together with a microwave. The kitchen is well equipped, but if there is anything else you need, we shall be happy to help
The deck outside the sitting room has two wicker chairs and a two seater sofas. Cushions are in a box.
The view from here is beautiful across to distant Haugh Woods, and is the perfect place to enjoy a summer sunset
The dining area opens into the hallway with access to the bathroom, kitchen and the two bedrooms. This property has a cloakroom with toilet and wash handbasin, as well as a larger family bathroom with an electric shower set above the bath. This is truly a loo with a view! Both bedrooms have been refurnished recently and the beds in the twin room can be pushed together to make a large king-size bed if preferred. The double room has a conventional 4'6" bed with a semi-orthopaedic mattress and a king sized duvet. Both bedrooms have wardrobes, armchairs and plenty of storage space, and have views in both directions. The cottage has a very efficient central heating system, as well as double glazing so is a very cosy venue for colder times of the year. An additional charge may be made for colder times of the year - charged at cost. Beds are made up with quality bedding and each person has two fluffy towels. Tea towels, loo rolls and all cleaning materials can be found in the cottage

Set in a total of thirty acres, with the owner's home a little way to the rear of
the property, the cottage enjoys the most idyllic rural location. Views stretch
in all directions.
Enjoy dark skies and amazing sunsets.
There are no other holiday
properties on this site so it is "all yours" for your stay.
If you enjoy "woodland bathing" then Long Wood is
just the place for you
Our own private 19 acre woodland, is inhabited by many forms
of wildlife including foxes, fallow deer, hares, buzzards and badgers.
Many species of birds have been recorded.
Originally an ancient woodland site, part of the wood was replanted
with conifers by the Forestry Commission in the 1950's although
some areas have now been cleared and replaced with native trees.
During the spring and
early summer the wood is full of wild
flowers from primroses and wild anemonies to cowslips and
early purple orchids.
